I may be a horrible mom because the second happiest part of my day is when I drop Will off at school. He’s thrilled to be there and I’m thrilled to have a break from listening to him whine about wanting whatever it is he wants.

The happiest part of my day is when I pick him up and he comes running to me yelling “mommy! MY mommy!” Then a few hours later after the above mentioned whining sets in again I’m ready to send him back. It works out well.

Oh, and all we talked about at back to school night was potty training. He won’t graduate to preschool if he’s not trained by this time next year. Pressure’s on! Crap!

OK first of all, thanks for the link. Second, he is precious! And third? No one ever talks about the f***ing threes. The suck big donkey balls. Even though I loved my kids when they were that age, I didn’t like them very much. Hang in there, it will get better.

Bad news on the potty front: there can be issues with this well into your future. Remember, my boys are 8&6 and STILL have issues at times. Good luck with that.

He will love school, and so will you. 2 days is perfect for his age and he will feel like such a big boy! Imagine the ease of grocery shopping with only one in tow…Aah the bliss!

I miss you! When I get home from vacation we have to talk, like actually on the phone, K?

Oh my God – you described my 3 1/2 year old perfectly. Cutting up sandwiches, picking out clothes, and breathing all annoy him. I promise you’ll make it through this time but man – makes you want to wring their cute little necks sometimes.

RC is 3.3 and I am so ready for school. Thank God his preschool takes kids in diapers because the boy won’t do ANYTHING on the potty. He will, however pee on the deck, which is lovely. Especially for my elderly neighbor, whom I am sure hears my daily mommy shreiks.

Somehow you’ll make it through – if not call me. I’ll bring carrot cake to go with Fran’s merlot.

MiniMe went through the “I don’t love you” phase, too. Lucky for him it was followed by the “I love you TOO much, Mommy” phase. I’m hoping this one lasts until he turns fourteen and decides he hates me again. Just remember…this too shall pass.

I am sorry but did you somehow kidnap my kid about a year ago or so?? We went through all the same stuff at this age and I was willing to give my Ben away to the LOWEST bidder… I swear it’s the “terrible threes” Things are much better now at four…
