Here we go, another bullet list post. Strap yourselves in, it might be a bumpy ride:
- One week from this moment we’ll be in New York City.
- I’m so excited, I might pee myself.
- I lie awake at night FREAKING out about leaving my kids for a week.
- Are you aware that they’re totally more likely to be kidnapped or suffer some horrible accident while I’m gone?
- I’m not sure that’s AT ALL true, but in my brain at 2am, that’s totally the case.
- Dylan said to me the other day: “Stop talking to me like that. You’re going to go to your room. You’re driving me crazy.”
- To which I replied: “…?”
- Zach’s gained 1.5 pounds in the past month. He’s on some sort of freakish growth spurt (for him at least)
- Zach’s developed some serious attitude in the past month. He’s on some sort of freakish “not a baby anymore” spurt. *Sigh*
- I passed up on buying a gorgeous coat at TJ Maxx yesterday.
- It was $39.99 and I’m hoping they still have it on Tuesday when I go back.
- I passed up on buying a gorgeous purse at TJ Maxx yesterday.
- It was $169.99 and it was a tan, leather Michael Kors bag.
- I’m hoping they DON’T still have it on Tuesday when I go back.
- I’m so excited for the Grey’s Anatomy premiere on Thursday that I can hardly stand it.
- ABC is fucking genius for having an @ABCGreysAnatomy handle on Twitter.
- Zach just started screaming, seemingly for no reason.
- When I picked him up, there was blood in his mouth.
- No idea where it came from.
- He’s fine now.
- When I was getting Zach a glass of milk, Dylan said “Oh, fuck.”
- Kinda like he did here, way back when I didn’t have many readers.
- Which is significant for 2 reasons.
- 1) It was Grandmaother’s first comment (and you can see why she’s called Grandmaother)
- 2) It reminds me to remind you how excited you should be about my guest posters while I’m out of town.
- Zach has his own form of baby crack lately.
- Do you snort crack? Because it needs to be something you snort.
- So maybe it’s baby heroin?
- Do you snort heroin?
- God, I’m such a loser when it comes to drug knowledge.
- Anyway, I’ll share it with you soon. I need to get video of it.
- I’ll leave you with some recent photos.
- You’re welcome.

Zach and I appear to be on a similar growth spurt. And if that’s the case, I worry about his thighs in 40 years.
Have a great trip to NYC! I can’t wait!!!

Your children will be fine under my care – you survived.
Other than those 4 trips to the emergency room, or was it 5 – you
had an accident-free childhood.
And you weren’t kidnapped – well, there was one close call… but he didn’t get you.
I promise to guard them with my life.
Does Dylan know how to dial 911?

The point being…
the first time you & Quart were left with grandparents I was such a wreck the trip was pretty much ruined – and when we returned – you two were fine and had a great time.
Relax. Enjoy.

I, too, can’t wait for Grey’s to start. I am however thoroughly pissed off that ABC and NBC have scheduled my 2 fave shows to start on the same night. Amazingly this is the first time ever Grey’s and ER have started on the same night. The pisser is that, as you know, Grey’s is a 2 hour show-runs right into ER. Sh**. What am I gonna do? Suppose I’ll have to resort to the VCR. Yes, a VCR. I live in the dark ages.
Well, have fun on your trip. Yea for mommy vacations!

Listen to the Grandmas, you’ll come back an even better mommy. Slightly hungover, perhaps, but better because you’ll recharge your batteries. We shall see to it.
I don’t know much more about drugs than you, probably, but I’m fairly certain you don’t snort crack or heroin. That would be cocaine. So Zach is on Baby Coke?!
Relax, breathe, and try to SLEEP at 2am, m’kay?

It’s not every day one gets to be a gorilla peeing. Nor is it everyday that I get to see such a damned cute kiddo in his stylin’ specs! He’s too cute…and that’s not just me sayin’ it, but a certain two year old female sitting next to me. Sheesh, she’s already into younger dudes!

H tells me you were trying to leave me a comment with no luck. Weird! Dunno why it didn’t work. It must be your fault, nerd, cuz I can post on yours!
Anyhoo…I am way jealous of your NY trip but wanted to remind you of our favorite places to eat at that I mentioned in case you are hungry and close to these places:
FIORELLOS: A little pricey, but has amazing thin crust pizza and awesome apps. Address:1900 Broadway, New York, NY 10023
website: http://www.cafefiorello.com
LA MELA: Okay, so you may not go to the first one but fo’ reals you and DJ need to go to Little Italy. It is required by people who eat. My fave joint there is La Mela…reasonable prices, great food, blah blah..
Address: 167 Mulberry St
New York, NY 10013
website: http://www.lamelarestaurant.com
Have fun you guys, and tell us all about it!!!

$169.99 on a purse?!?! AT TJ Maxx?!?!!? This is exactly why I physically make sure Sarah doesn’t wander near that section while we’re at the mall. The purse section is right off the escalators at JC Penney (coincidental, or genius marketing ploy… you be the judge). Sarah always (ALWAYS) says, “But they’re on sale.”
If $169.99 is a sale, then I’m in the wrong business. I should, instead, be ripping women off by buying cheap leather, painting it red, and sewing handles on.

I am pretty much sure you don’t snort heroine. Well, when Uma Thurman did on Pulp Fiction she almost died, so I don’t think you do anyway. I get all my drug knowledge from “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” “Pulp Fiction” and “Rush.”

@HeadlessMom – Get a friggin’ TiVo already, fer crissakes. (Love ya, sis)
@M2B – I’d say you’ll be fine and the boys will be fine, but in reality a giant earthquake will hit the New Madrid and in the ensuing chaos you’ll not be able to get home to them for another week.
And since the quake will tear the continent in two, the flight from the East coast will take another 10, maybe 20 minutes.
Let me know if that doesn’t happen.
