What You Talkin’ ‘Bout, Willis?
It’s here AGAIN!!! Remember when we did it a few months ago and it was SO much fun! Well, the time has come again to open up my comments for hijacking.
SO, feel free to take over. Whatever you want. And, in case you have something to say that you don’t want to share *publicly*, please feel free to be anonymous. Between you and me, just leave a *fake* email address and no one will be the wiser. I’ll still have to approve it, but we won’t know who you are! Although, we’ll spend PLENTY of time trying to figure it out.
Please also remember that I will have final say on what ends up posting, so be nice. Don’t make me break out the wooden spoon.

Thanks for the offer but I decided that if I couldn’t say it with my name on it, I shouldn’t say it at all. Can’t wait to see what others say, though1

I don’t really have anything INTERESTING to say. It’s Monday and I’m too tired to really think right now. But have I told you that your knitting ROCKS! When I have a kid, it may not be for 30 more years, I’m totally buying a blanket from ya!

I would totally like to know why Disney thinks they have to put so much sad/scary in kid’s movies. I know Walt said “for every smile there should be a tear,” but I think that’s crap. It’s just not necessary. And WHY do Disney movies have so many more previews than other movies?? Don’t they know that children have NO patience for waiting for their movie to start?? And that this makes parents insane.
Also, how is it that my hubs can successfully rinse dishes and set them ON TOP OF the dishwasher, but not get them INSIDE??
That’s all for today. Thanks for the chance to vent.
P.S. I want to learn to knit/crochet like you!

Tyler’s starting to make more sounds than just AHHHHHHHHHH. A couple days ago, he said “ba ba ba ba ba ba ba”, so I started saying words that started with “b”
“ba ba ba ba ball”
“ba ba ba ba baby”
“ba ba ba ba bounce”
you get the idea. Today, Tyler made the “f” sound. “ffffffffff”, so I did my routine again.
“ffffffffff fall”
“ffffffffff final”
“ffffffffff fascia”
“fffffffff fu…. uhhh… I better not say that word, son.”
I don’t dare blog about it, because I still (at 30 years old) live with the delusion that my parents don’t know I swear.

OMG, THANK YOU!.
Okay.
I hate my husband’s job so much. HATE. We should never have moved here, he should never have taken this fucking job and I should be living my life back in Indiana. Tennessee itself is fine, but I just hate his job. 14 hours a day at work is too many. I didn’t sign up to be a single parent.
Next up.
My husband, I know his job BLOWS ASS, but he needs to be more patient w/the kids on the weekends. I keep getting the feeling that he blames MY parenting for their out of control behavior. They’re little kids! They are going to misbehave!
Lastly.
I’ve been pretty mad at one family member (even here I shouldn’t say), but during our move I confided to her that I was feeling really stressed. She totally dismissed me and basically said I had nothing to be stressed about. Writing this makes it seem so trivial, but it really wasn’t trivial because I hate when someone dismisses my feelings.
So I guess that’s it. Thanks for letting me vent.

I absolutely hate Monday holidays. Now that I’m at home, I feel they should all go away. I don’t mind Friday holidays, but somehow Monday ones suck.
I despise it when other mothers who I don’t really know, tell me what I should or shouldn’t do with my children. I really think they should worry about their own kids and not care if mine eat processed sugar, or do cartwheels on the soccer field. My kid is four, she does not need to be the next Mia Hamm.

I’m thinking about writing an ‘expectations’ document for each member of our family. I know the huz is going to blow this off as a dumb idea but I really feel like getting it all out there, even for the boys (at least the six year old) will be a good idea. Kind of like writing a mission statement for our family. God, I sound like Steven Covey!
Thanks, Meghan, as always.

Andrea's Sweet Life on 16 Feb 2009 at 7:19 pm #
GAH, I hate to bring drama to your blog, but you ASKED for it, so how can I refuse?
A little girl in my daughter’s Kindergarten class taught her a game called “privacy”, and then introduced a sub-game called “Texi”. Yes, it’s as bad as it sounds, but according to the forensic sex crime expert we consulted, it’s “just this side” of the thin line between inappropriate and molestation. I wrote a big long post about it (because, how am I supposed to go through this and NOT write about it?) but I’m not going to publish it. Not yet, anyway. Along with the proper authorities, we are trying to handle the situation delicately and properly and HOPEFULLY get the little girl (and her family) some help.
Seriously, I never EVER thought I’d be dealing with something like this when my daughter is barely 5 years old. Thankfully we have a wonderful therapist on hand, and we’ve already had 2 sessions which have gone well. But I am a WRECK. I look at everyone like they’re a pervert, because I learned a HARD life lesson: monsters aren’t always ugly, sometimes they wear pretty pink bows.

Kind of makes the fact I was going to release about the annoying guy who sits next to me at work moot.
