Meghan, You have been a wonderful friend to the Spohr family I don’t think anyone will be hating you anytime soon. I squeeze my 9 month old daughter a little tighter since learning of Maddie’s story. I felt like I really needed to do something to honor Maddie but right now we can’t afford much extra. We bought a purple rose bush at Target today and will be planting it tomorrow and naming it Maddie. (We name everything) I know it’s not helping the spohrs directly but I wanted to do something to honor Maddie and her infectious smile.

I am sure you have heard this a lot lately but the Heather and Mike are lucky to have you in there life right now. Thank you for all you do. You have a heart of Gold.

Speaking from experience, the gift cards add up tremendously fast and can be a bit difficult to maintain - if you know they have a favorite place, collect on her behalf and get one card. Or get her something to carry and organize the cards. You are a good friend for doing this for her. you are a better friend if you hand deliver it to her and make each day as easy as possible for her.
