93 Years – Meet my Grandma
My Grandma turns 93 today.
She’s in San Francisco enjoying her day with my mom and Aunt and cousin and family.
She won $150 at Bingo this week.
She loves beer and pizza.
She’s been known to knock a few back…in recent years.
She ALWAYS looks put together.
She takes apart and re-sews her clothes so they fit her better.
She doesn’t take shit from anyone.
She plays a mean game of poker.
She was an avid golfer in her day.
She’ll tell you exactly what she thinks. Whether you want to hear it or not.
I hope to be just like her when I grow up.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

I like to think my grandmother would have been very similar to this.

Cousin in law Alie made a pot roast and a carrot cake today – grandma was thrilled. And she looked adorable, as always.
She told me the other day that she can’t hear and can’t see -and it’s hard to hold her curling iron, but those are her biggest problems! I already have those problems…. oh my!…..

My grandma was just shy of 90 when she passed, but she was very similar. I miss her!

It’s always so… I dunno, “weird” isn’t the word, but I can’t think of the right one… weird to see a picture of someone you only know as “my little, old grandma” in their heyday. She’s quite a looker; I bet she’s got some stories she could tell.

How wonderfully lucky you are to have your Grandmother still. I had all four of mine until I was 18 and never realized what a gift it was until they were gone. I want to be like my Gram when I grow up too.
