I know, it sucks when you get just what you think you want and then you realize it isn’t really what you want. I dream of time to myself, then when I get it I find myself lonely.

Happy Birthday. It was my son’s birthday too, he turned 9. Looked at me and said that he hoped that I didn’t feel badly that my life was almost over compared to his.

Yes, get over it. I remember when I was divorced and I would have my x take the kids on Mother’s Day. I wanted a day to myself. Nothing wrong with giving yourself a day to yourself for your birthday. It’s okay!!! Someday when you kids are parents they will understand.
